可编程控制器,简称PLC(Programmable logic Controller),是指以计算机技术为基础的新型工业控制装置。

Programmable logic Controller (PLC) refers to a new type of industrial control device based on computer technology.
In the draft PLC standard issued by the International Electrical Committee in 1987, the PLC was defined as follows:
"PLC is an electronic device specifically designed for digital computing operations in an industrial environment. It uses a memory that can be programmed to store instructions for performing operations such as logical operations, sequential operations, timing, counting and arithmetic operations, and can control various types of machinery or production processes through digital or analog inputs and outputs.
PLC and its related peripherals should be designed in accordance with the principle that it is easy to form a whole with the industrial control system and easy to expand its function.
