Product description

GE developed the DS3800NFCD1S1J for use as an ignition circuit board in the Mark IV Speedtronic system. Designed for steam and gas turbine control, the Mark IV uses an integrated chipset with intentional redundancy to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

The DS3800NFCD1S1J acts as a motherboard for the smaller auxiliary DS3800DFCD. When connected to this board, the DS3800NFCD1S1J has access to the four jumper switches and three ammeters of the daughter board. The auxiliary is placed along the left edge of the DS3800NFCD1S1J and is supported by four nylon pins. It is held in place by seventeen brass nickel-plated pins.

The DS3800NFCD1S1J has the following specifications:

- Factory drilling, all corners. The board has two holes drilled in each left corner.

- Alignment tag (A-L.)

- There are five connectors on the board. These include two connectors on the right edge (218A4637-P4 11492BR&32694AR), a 5-pin vertical male connector and two Augat DIP plugs.

-15 leds (14 red, 1 amber)

- Two small switches.

- More than twenty transistors.

- Thirty test sites.

-44 integrated circuits. These include Intel's D8243 L50239830 MCS-48 input/output expander, MOTOROLA's SN74LS74AN XA89605 dual D-type positive edge trigger, and MOTOROLA's SN74LS112AN dual J-K trigger.

- Four jumper switches.

- Various capacitors and diodes. The plate is made of a number of different values of ceramic covered metal film resistors.
