The GE fired circuit board DS3800NFCD1K1E has 1 hole in each corner for attaching the board to the inside of the driver with screws. The board is equipped with four brackets for connecting subcards. Subcards provide additional processing, connectors, and functionality. The board is equipped with a plurality of transistor-transistor logic devices. The GE ignition circuit board DS3800NFCD1K1E also has 13 red indicator leds and 1 amber indicator LED. The board also has a socket for an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) module. The board is also equipped with multiple jumpers and two 34-pin connectors.

The GE fired circuit board DS3800NFCD1K1E is equipped with three 28-pin female connectors. The connector is designed to connect to the daughter card mounted above the motherboard. The back of the sub-card has a matching connector. When the subcard is pressed to the motherboard, the 28-pin connector is connected.

The 28-pin connector carries the voltage that powers the card. The connector also carries the control signal received by the card for processing. Other control signals are sent from the card to the circuit board. The 1 sub-card is also equipped with a 10-pin ribbon cable.
