The GE fired circuit board DS3800NFCB1S1S has a hole in each corner for attaching the board to the inside of the driver with screws. The board is equipped with four brackets for connecting subcards. Subcards provide additional processing, connectors, and functionality. The board is equipped with a plurality of transistor-transistor logic devices. The GE ignition circuit board DS3800NFCB1S1S also has 13 red indicator leds and 1 amber indicator LED. The board also has a socket for an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) module. The board is also equipped with multiple jumpers and two 34-pin connectors.

The sub card is equipped with 4 jumpers and 3 potentiometers with dial control. It also has multiple signal cable pin connectors. Potentiometers have an ID associated with them. 1 ID is the ammeter, 1 is the 12 volt FB, and the last potentiometer is the logic CL. Only a qualified technician can adjust the potentiometer because of the need for calibrated test equipment as well as training in the use of high voltage equipment.
