The GE EX2100 IS200EGPAG1B exciter gate pulse amplifier board is used to connect the control to the power bridge in the control system. It is responsible for connecting current conduction feedback, temperature monitoring and bridging airflow.



The gate pulse amplifier board number IS200EGPAG1B is located in the power conversion cabinet and can be connected to the power conversion module. This module is one of the boards marked under the bridge and protection board/module, and although the board can be operated separately, it usually requires power from one of the EPDM modules.



The IS200EGPAG1B board receives feedback from two thermal switches mounted on the SCR heat sink. These switches trigger and disconnect at alarm and trip levels and are directly connected to IS200EGPAG1B. The temperature the switch must reach before triggering is a trip level of 190°F and an alarm level of 170°F. If only one switch is open, an overheating alarm about the bridge has occurred, if both switches are open, it indicates that a trip and a fault has occurred, and the switches can be opened separately or together.



The IS200EGPAG1B board has five jumpers that allow the user to select the desired application-specific configuration and easily adjust the jumper configuration before installation.
