Product description

The DS3800NADA printed circuit board is manufactured by GE and acts as an analog-to-digital converter card in its Mark IV Speedtronic system. The Mark IV series is designed for steam and gas turbine control. The Mark IV is one of the first systems designed using an integrated chipset with overlapping two-thirds voting redundancy on key control and protection parameters. This "controlled failure" technology keeps the Mark IV running even if a single board experiences an electronic problem by shunting control to other boards that act as backups for that board.

The DS3800NADA has been built to the following specifications:

Three cross bars are located on the long dimensions of the board. This hardens the board and reduces the risk of bending.

An amber LED is located on the right edge.

Three test points are located above the LED.

Two potentiometers are located on the top edge.

The board has a male connector head and a female connector head and is designed to communicate with other modules. The connector is placed on the edge of the DS3800NADA.
