The GE Series 6 receiver board DS3800HXRA1F1F is designed for quick installation in a drive. The board has a modular connector at one end and a fixed rod at the other end. The GE Series 1 receiver plate DS6HXRA3800F1F has a 2-pin connector between the fixed rods. The surface of the board is also equipped with 40 1-pin connectors for connection to subcards and 34 jumpers.

When mounting the motherboard, the DS3800HXRA1F1F retaining rod on the GE Series 6 receiver plate must be engaged. The retaining rod holds the motherboard in the frame. They use CAM action to press the board down into a modular connector at the rear of the main board frame. The motherboard is equipped with a modular connector connected to the modular connector on the drive. When modular connectors are pressed together, control signals and electrical connections are passed from the driver to the circuit board.
