The Moog G122-829A001 is a general-purpose, user-configurable, derived servo amplifier. The selection switch inside the amplifier enables either proportional control, integral control, or both.

Many aspects of the amplifier can be adjusted in conjunction with the front panel pan, or an internal pan switch can be selected. This allows one amplifier to be used in multiple amplifiers for different applications. See also data sheet G122-829. Horizontal DIN rails, an industrial steel housing mounted on the vertical rear surface, are an increasingly anticipated method.

The G122-829A001's rail release clip should be face down, so the front panel is readable in line with the terminal identification, so the internal electronics receive cooling airflow. An important consideration for module placement is whether electromagnetic interference (EMI) is coming from other devices in the enclosure. For example, VF and AC servo drives generate high levels of electromagnetic interference.
