The MTL Safety Gate -MTL4546Y module receives a 4/20mA floating signal from the safe zone controller to drive the current/pressure converter in the dangerous zone.

For intelligent valve positioners, the UK MTL Safety Gate -MTL4546Y module also allows two-way transmission of digital communication signals. Process controllers with read-back function detect open circuits in field lines.

The MTL5500 series is versatile at the application level and easy to operate. It is manufactured with technology and has been well verified. These contrasting properties are the result of advances in MTL's expertise in the design and manufacture of intrinsically safe photoisolators and the application of MTL in innovative technologies to achieve the required separation and isolation circuits.
