The MKVI has five versions of the UCV controller. The IS215UCVGH1A is a single-slot version of the controller. Any previous controller can be directly replaced with the IS215UCVGH1A. If the board replaces an earlier version of the controller, there is no need to upgrade the backplane. IS215UCVGH1A is installed in the VME rack.

The IS215UCVGH1A is built with Intel's ultra-low voltage Celeron 650 processor chip. The chip has 128MB of SDRAM and 128MB of flash memory. The board has a front panel. The panel has a reset switch, followed by an SVGA monitor port.

There is a keyboard/mouse port and two COM ports (side by side, labeled 1 and 2.) The board has two Ethernet ports stacked on top of each other. They are labeled LAN1 and LAN2. There are two separate USB connectors, four LED indicators, and a panel opening.
