The PM665 ProL inx EtherNetIP to PROFIBUS DPV1 master gateway creates an EtherNetIP network device with a PROFIBUS slave device.
This stand-alone DINQ rail mounted protocol gateway offers an Ethernet Q port and the PM665 can be configured with a PROFIBUS DP host DB9F port. The EtherNetIP protocol driver supports the implementation of an explicit messaging protocol. User configurable as both client and server, EtherNetIP port is a very powerful data transfer tool. PROFIBUS DP master protocol driver supports full master protocol on single - or multi-host networks in accordance with IEC 61158 specifications. The module supports DPV1 specification.
The PM665 Ethernet/Industrial protocol EtherNetIP protocol is used to connect different Rockwell automation platforms. The explicit messaging aspect protocol (only) has been implemented in ProLinx devices to provide hardware for data transfer links between ProLinx devices and Rockwell Automation
