The GE Emergency Overdrive board model DS200TCEAG1B has a microprocessor and multiple programmable read-only memory (PROM) modules. It also contains 3 fuses, 30 jumpers and a pair of bayonet connectors. The board monitors the frequency converter for overspeed and flame detection tripping and shuts down the frequency converter as needed. Bayonet connectors are used to connect the motherboard to other devices and motherboards in the drive. There are several factors to consider before connecting the male bayonet connector at the end of the cable to the female connector on the board. To remove the bayonet connector, hold the connector with one hand and secure the board with the other to prevent it from bending or moving. Pull the bayonet connector out of the female connector on the board, then set the cable aside until you are ready to connect it to the replacement board.

One caveat is that you cannot disconnect the bayonet connector by pulling on the cable instead of the connector. This can pull the signal wire out of the bayonet connector, damaging the cable. In addition, do not use bayonet connectors to accidentally touch other components on the board. You may bend or scratch the surface of a component or circuit board.
