SAM 3.0能够灵敏地记录闪电和开关产生的电涌以及总泄漏电流。这些数值以数字形式显示在电子显示器上。它由一个带有可选电缆长度的电流传感器和一个显示装置组成，显示装置可以安装在避雷器之外。

SAM 3.0 sensitively records electrical surges from lightning and switches, as well as total leakage current. These values are displayed in digital form on an electronic display. It consists of a current sensor with an optional cable length and a display device that can be installed outside the arrester.

The system divides the inrush current pulses into three categories and saves overvoltage events with time and date information (time stamps).
