The Bentley Nevada 3300 XL Proximity probe offers state-of-the-art performance in eddy current proximity sensor systems. The standard 3300 XL 8mm 5-meter system is also fully compliant with the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 standard (4th edition) in terms of mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8mm proximity sensor systems deliver this level of performance and support full interchangeability of probe, extension cable and Proximitor sensors without the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.

The three parts of the system must have a consistent electrical length. The electrical length of the near end probe plus the electrical length of the extension wire must equal the electrical length of the near end probe.

Each 3300 XL 8mm sensor system component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non-XL 3300 series 5mm and 8mm sensor system components. This compatibility includes 3300 mm probes for applications where 8mm probes are too large to use mounting space.

The 3300 XL Proximitor sensor features a number of improvements over previous designs. Its physical packaging allows you to use it in high-density DIN rail installations. You can also mount the sensor in a traditional panel mount configuration, where it shares the same 4-hole mount "footprint" as the older Proximitor sensor design. Either option of mounting the base provides electrical isolation, eliminating the need for separate isolation panels. The 3300 XL Proximitor sensor is highly immune to RF interference and can be installed in a fiberglass housing without adversely affecting nearby RF signals. The improved RFI/EMI immunity of the 3300 XL Proximitor sensor meets the European CE Mark and eliminates the need for special shielded ducts or metal housings, reducing installation costs and complexity.
