该板还能够记录事件序列(SOE)。在这种模式下,当任何通道发生指定的状态变化时,所有32个通道的先前状态存储在FIFO中,随后是当前状态。此外,从前面板计数器输入递增/递减的计数器值存储在单独的FIFO中,以便为SOE提供可选的时间戳。COS模式下也提供计数器功能。
VMIVME-1184将状态变化存储在板载FIFO中。当FIFO为空(ROFE)或中断已被确认(ROAK)时,电路板可被配置为清除中断请求。如果一个COS在前一个COS等待服务时发生,或者在中断服务程序中发生,事件将被保存。

During the scan operation, individual channel gains can be downloaded for real-time selection, or the board can be configured to a fixed gain common to all channels. Multiple boards can be synchronized together, enabling up to 16 boards to launch each scan simultaneously.
The GE Fanuc/VMIC VMIVME-7486 is a 100% PC/AT compatible processor board on the VME bus. The VMIVME-7486 is equipped with a coprocessor and 8 KB quad-group associated on-chip cache with Super VGA 1,024 x 768 non-interlaced resolution and 1 MB of on-board video DRAM. The VMIVME-7486 also includes a parallel centronics port, two serial RS-232C ports, a PC/AT keyboard interface, a real-time clock with onboard battery, and an on-board floppy disk and IDE controller.
The VMIVME-7486 uses custom gate array technology to provide complete VME bus functionality as well as interrupt handlers, interrupters, and system controllers. The VMIVME-7486 allows access to all VME bus memory in real or protected mode and comes with three-way byte exchange hardware for both small-endian and big-endian type interfaces. The VMIVME-7486 supports DOS and Windows operating systems.

The board is also capable of recording event sequence (SOE). In this mode, when a specified state change occurs in any channel, the previous state of all 32 channels is stored in the FIFO, followed by the current state. In addition, counter values that are input incremented/decremented from the front panel counter are stored in a separate FIFO to provide an optional timestamp for the SOE. Counters are also available in COS mode.
The VMIVME-1184 stores state changes in the onboard FIFO. When the FIFO is empty (ROFE) or the interrupt has been acknowledged (ROAK), the board can be configured to clear the interrupt request. If a COS occurs while a previous COS is waiting to be served, or during an interrupt service procedure, the event is saved.
The board also accepts 16 analog inputs. These inputs can be differential or pseudo-differential (single-ended). A 36 Hz unipolar input filter can be ordered for the input. The input ADC can be programmed (via on-chip jumpers) to operate over a variety of voltage ranges. These ranges are 0 to +5 V, 0 to +10 V(unipolar), 2.5, 5.0, or 10 V(bipolar). The input has 12-bit resolution. The input can be scanned by an onboard multiplexer, and the data is stored in a dual-port memory.
The VMIVME-4514A operates in three ADC modes. They are random polling, scan polling, and automatic scanning. When the motherboard is powered on, the system enters automatic scanning mode after reset, or under program control. In this mode, all 16 channels are scanned continuously. Their inputs are digitized and stored in 16 12-bit dual-port registers. No programming is required other than reading data from these registers.
