The Allen-Bradley 25B-D2P3N114 is an Allen-Bradley Variable frequency drive (VFD). The inverter is part of the PowerFlex 525 variable frequency inverter product family for industrial applications, meeting modern integration and connectivity requirements for operational flexibility and efficiency.

Other plant personnel refer to this device as a variable speed drive (VFD), a variable speed drive, a frequency converter, a frequency converter, or simply a motor drive. All of these terms refer to the electronic devices that enable the basic motor control and speed regulation control of AC motors. The driver operates at a three-phase input supply voltage of 480VAC with an input frequency range of 47-63Hz. It offers 0.75 kW or 1.0 HP, 2.3 amps of output power, and a fully programmable frequency of 0-500 Hz. For driver configuration, it offers an integrated Human Machine interface module (HI) with LCD display and embedded keys that allow local operation, configuration and troubleshooting of the drive in the event of an error.

It integrates a number of other protection features, including BUS undervoltage trip, BUS overvoltage trip, 100 ms power crossing, motor overload protection, overcurrent protection, and phase to phase and ground protection at the driver output. The 25B-D2P3N114 PowerFlex drives offer four (4) independently programmable acceleration and deceleration times that can be configured for any setting between 0 and 600 seconds. The drive has an A-frame size and is mounted in an IP20 NEMA housing, making it suitable for use in different environments, provided it is not exposed to corrosive gases, steam or rain and direct sunlight.
