Allen-Bradley 1794-ACNR15 is a redundant ControlNet communication module. This module is a component product of the Flex I/O product family for distributed I/O in a variety of applications and industries.

1794-ACNR15 supports the ControlNet protocol. It can be used to implement a redundant ControlNet topology by connecting to a ControlNet relay connection. The 1794-ACNR15 has two (2) ControlNet communication ports, each connected to a relay. When one ControlNet trunk fails, data is automatically routed to the second ControlNet trunk.

The 1794-ACNR15 supports a ControlNet transfer speed of 5Mbps and can install eight (8) Flex I/O modules in any combination.

The module requires an external power supply to operate. The acceptable supply voltage range is 19.2... 31.2V DC with a current of 400 mA. The nominal supply voltage is 24VDC. For power connections, use 0.33... 2.5 sq. mm (22... 12 AWG) solid or stranded copper wire with an insulation class of 75 °C (167 °F) or higher and a maximum insulation thickness of 1.2 mm (3/64 in.). For two-wire connections, use 0.33... 1.3 sq. mm (22... 16 AWG) Solid or stranded copper wire, unmixed, with an insulation class of 75 °C (167 °F) or higher and an insulation thickness of 1.2 mm (3/64 in).
