The GE/Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8mm proximity sensor system consists of a 3300 XL 8mm probe, a 3300 XL extension cable, and a 3300 XL proximity sensor. The system provides an output voltage that is proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface, allowing both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values to be measured. The main applications of this system are vibration and position measurement of flow film bearing machines, as well as key phase reference and velocity measurement. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5 meter system is also fully compliant with the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 standard (4th edition) in terms of mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity sensor systems offer this level of performance and support full interchangeability of the probe, extension cable and Proximitor sensors without the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.
