A single-mode fiber is an optical fiber that uses a single optical path to transmit data. It is typically used for longer distances, up to several kilometers in length, and can transmit data at higher speeds than multimode fiber.

The EL100T series includes two main models:

EL100T-E: This model supports multi-mode fiber with a maximum transmission distance of 2 km.

EL100T-20-E: This model supports single-mode fiber with a maximum transmission distance of 20 km.

Both models are designed to convert 10/100Base-TX (copper) Ethernet signals to 100Base-FX (fiber) Ethernet signals. They are also both plug-and-play devices, which means they can be easily installed without any special configuration.
